6 - Like a bridge over troubled water
[A Action - 508 Ricardo Street]
[Father's day. What a lovely day, isn't it? A day to show every men in your world how much you truly appreciate them, and having them in your life.
Guess who's decided to cook a complete, big and deliciously grease-filling American breakfast this morning, guys? And will you look at that- it doesn't even seem to be poisoned!
Maybe it's time to check if Ivy's got a fever.]
B Action - Flower shop]
[This seems to be a permanent option for her.
Either way... if you're a man, and you're shopping at Annie's flower shop, you'll be sure to meet an overly-eager to please Pamela.]
[C Action - Jonathon's Tools]
[Father's day or not, Ivy still wants to get her new gardening tools. How is she supposed to fix the garden around her house otherwise. But she's having a hard time convincing one of the drones selling tools that she needs them, when he keeps on insisting a woman with tools like those could be dangerous!
She'd usually reply with a 'do you want me to show you how dangerous I can be?' but today... she can merely nod. Nod and huff.]

C
Is there a problem here?
[He's approaching the drone and Ivy, bouquet in hand.]
no subject
What does he want? To laugh at her?]
It is not big deal. I would not want to a bother.
no subject
I insist. I'd like to know what's going on. I promise it wouldn't be a bother.
no subject
I was merely trying to get my tools, to do a little gardening. You know how much I love plants. [Okay, she winks. She can't help herself.] And this men right here- while trying to be helpful, of course- has it in his head I wouldn't be able to use them on my own.
[No, really. Fuck this town.]
no subject
If worst comes to worst, he'd just buy them himself. He's sure Ivy isn't going to kill him in his sleep...with gardening tools.]
no subject
Thank you! At least somebody understands.
no subject
No problem. Just do me a favor and only treat them as gardening tools. [Laughs. It's hard to tell if he was being serious or not.]
no subject
Using other things, however...]
I can't promise anything [She teases- maybe.] Why did you do it, though? [She raises an eyebrow] I doubt things have changed that much between us.
no subject
Nothing has really changed. But hey, to me right now, you're just another citizen stuck in this strange town with me. I shouldn't have a problem with a citizen.
I'm more curious why you didn't do anything. You never seemed like the type to let men tell you what to do.
no subject
I... did not want to make him feel bad. Men are pillars of our society after all. [What the fuck-] We all should be grateful for them.
How can I repay you for this little favor?
no subject
You can. Don't ever say that to me again. That was just really weird coming out of your mouth. Seriously.
no subject
If you say so. Doesn't make it less true though. [She sighs, rubbing her forehead. Being so... against her nature it's kind of exhausting.] I really feel bad for not repaying the favor, though.
no subject
There really is no need. I mean it. [Please. You're kinda being weird.]
no subject

C.
So Nina will go over, once the drone has gone, and talk to her.]
What were you trying to buy?
no subject
[At least, a woman. She can act normal around them, apparently.]
I was trying to buy my gardening tools, but this- [she growls] hard-working man... won't let me. He thinks I could be dangerous with them. [she's gritting her teeth by this point.]
no subject
Hmmm. Why don't you let me try? Just tell me what kind of tools you need, so I know what to buy.
no subject

no subject
[And God knows how did her not!husband enjoy that.]
no subject
[She seems anxious for a second but quickly throws it off, and is back to smiling.]
Anyway! You still haven't told me what kind of tools you're looking for.
A is for AWESOME WIFE
Good morning.
This for me?
[He doesn't wait for a reply, though, before grabbing a piece of bacon off the table and popping it into his mouth.]
♥ enjoy it while you can
[She quickly goes over and pecks his cheek] for the hard-working man. Happy father's day, dearest.
[And she goes over to get some orange juice ready. And coffee, since he seems to really like that.]
Feel free to tell me if there's anything else I can do for you today.
no subject
But it's a Sunday. Wednesday's the All-Father's.
[He's confused, but rolling with it. Something odd's gotten into her today.]
...you haven't been droned, have you?
no subject
Do I look like I'm droned? [She grabs a chair and sits by him] It'll take a while until they can get their hands of me. I like having a personality, thank you.
[She takes a bite from the toast she made to herself.] It's father's day today. I don't know how it was where you... come from love, but today we take care of our beloved men.
no subject
[He`s surprised. After the humiliating stories he told her whilr under the lipstick`s influence, he thought for sure she`d feel nothing but scorn and amusement. But this...even if he doesn`t love her, he gets a broad grin on his face. A real one.
Breakfast. A beautiful, willful, clever woman. Being counted, without prompting, among a man`s holiday. Being called a man by someone who knew about his history. It all makes him feel better than he has in a long time.]
Is that what you think of me?
no subject
The giving birth to a horse part was kind of weird... but that's being a God for you. Even if she wasn't half-droned, she doesn't judge him. She mostly... doesn't really care.]
But of course. What kind of wife would I be otherwise?
no subject
But...the last time she was this affectionate, he wound up cleaning the entire kitchen while he poured out his entire life's history. Loki feels a twinge of suspicion.
He munches on breakfast as he thinks, watching her.]
How do I know I can trust what you're saying to me? You're a clever one. Will I end up cleaning the rest of the house if I let you near me?
no subject
[She tilts her head, smirking a bit]
But thank you for the flattering, dearest. Do you really think I'm clever?
no subject
[He leans forward and grins.]
Clever and beautiful. It's a dangerous combination. I've got to be very careful around you. You got me last time -- me! That's saying something.
no subject
[Well, there's actually been two. Batman... and Harvey Dent. They both reject her.
But he doesn't need to know that.]
You should be grateful, though. I don't usually let people go with just a few chores and some embarrassing stories.
no subject
What do you usually do with them?
no subject
[Because telling him she kills them so matter of fact-ly would be weird, even to her. She will if he asks, though.]
Did... did it bother you? [She duffenly feels so guilty. What if he dislikes her because of it? She only wanted to make him happy today...]
no subject
What came after, though, not so much. It's not often anyone gets my whole life story in one sitting.
...honestly, anyway. You should let me tell it again. I could make it much more interesting.
no subject
That's what I guessed.
And I don't see why not. But you seemed rather... miffed while explaining it. I can't understand why, though. You did all you did to save you you and your family.
no subject
[He shakes his head, changing the subject.]
But enough about me. Let's talk about you. Where'd you learn that obedience magic? ....and what were you before you came to Mayfield? That skin's got me wondering.
Looks great on you, by the way. I meant to tell you that before you kissed me.
no subject
[Her lips twitch upwards as she tilts her head] A rather soft one, if I say so myself. I could do many different things back at home with just a kiss.
And thank you, dearest. What kind of wife would I be if I didn't try my best to look pretty and please my husband?
