Ah prom, uh? Everybody's babbling about it. It's been so long since I was in one I can barely remember... but as long as your music doesn't bother my garden it's no big deal, I guess. Go wild, kiddos.

Keep in mind your date will be hoping for flowers though, or at least a nice corsage. If you're unsure of what to pick, I'll be glad to help you... anything to keep you monsters from hurting my plants . Annie's flowers, just ask for Pamela.

Is there any possibility of me not being dragged into this by you? I'd rather not chaperone them. I bet the punch won't even be spiked.

Are the Tulips growing nicely? I'm still surprised you managed to fit them all in your garden...

"There was no space for plants on the Nadesico... Well, other than the observatory and that had two trees..."

"Its good to be passionate about something like that though."

...That must have been a really, really sad place then. Plants give so much asking for so little... why would people take them for granted?

I guess... not like it'll help me with anything here.

"No, it was a nice place. It was the first place I was ever treated like a person. Just, it was a space vessel so there wasn't a lot of room for plants to grow in a proper environment. I'd think they wouldn't want to be cramped into a few tiny rooms."

"I don't know... Plants are here. When I came here I didn't have my computer and I honestly felt like there was no purpose behind anything."

[She had been given little snippets of Ruri's life before Mayfield by then, and she knew it was far from pleasant.]

I... see. I guess it's nice of them that they wouldn't cramp the poor little things in a far-too-little space. But plants make everything better, nicer.

There's always a purpose. I hardly use... usED a computer myself if it wasn't for lab research or something by the sort. I guess I'm lucky there'll always be plants to take care off...

"I technically was raised as a computer component so... It made adjustment difficult. That being said, yes, plants are everywhere. We were working on setting up green spots on Mars before I was taken here."

[identity profile] poisonivyforyou.livejournal.com 2011-04-25 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Plants on Mars... [She hums] we should take better care of the ones we've got in here before trying to plant them somewhere else.

"True, but colonization would be completely impossible without plant life to help in the carbon conversion process."

[identity profile] poisonivyforyou.livejournal.com 2011-04-25 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
...So you were about to witness the colonitzation of Mars and now you're stuck in here with people fussing around about a prom. Must be pretty frustrating.

"Actually Mars was first colonized about 40 years before I was born. The Earth government just had this imbecilic policy about not surrendering when it was invaded and most everything useful was destroyed by the defense fleets."

"Idiots..."

[She blinks, surprised at the sudden language]

You must come from a fairly advanced world, the man had just set his feet on the moon where I come from, and we were fairly proud about that...

"When I left, it was 2200. I find that most people come from the late 20th century or early 21st, or some time in the dark or feudal ages if they are from Earth at all."

Early 21st myself... I guess I'm lucky I'll only miss thnigs like better TVs and lav equipment. It must have been quite the change for you.

"It has been."
